National Testing Services NTS failure in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014

Islamabad- Sana Mirza, National Testing Services NTS corruption has been reported in recently conducted test for Commonwealth Scholarship program here in Pakistan for the year 2014.NTS arranged test in all major centers of the Country by sending Admit cards to candidates at their home.
NTS charges normally Rs.800 from the candidates as test fees. Most of the graduate & Master students always claimed NTS to be as dough Fish. This time mostly students are claiming that they have marked right choices which they are confident enough as NTS this year updated its policy & issued a carbon copy of marked answer sheet right after the test. However candidates can check & compare answers with the answer key on nts website, next day of the TEST.

NTS is totally winding up people through showing fairness via cutting seal of Exam books through any candidates, issuing multiple color books and shuffle it in the testing room and through carbon copy of answer sheets.Candidates are slagging off NTS this time by saying that they have remembered some answers which they marked 100% correct are showing wrong on Answer key at website. The carbon copy or Answer sheet has only marked options like A.B.C.D.E nothing else. You can't say anything about Question no 36 as its right option might be A or might be E.So in the same manner one of the candidate among who appeared in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014 is whining that he has remembered that he has marked Q.2 as D but he got shocked when he saw right answer was A on NTS website's answer key.

Credibility of NTS has always seemed to be as issue.News groups and peoples are always nagging NTS performance on the basis of merit.Recent teachers selection for Public colleges and universities is example of what NTS is doing under Public sector umbrella.

Now everyone is demanding NTS should be privatize or test like common wealth & recruitment test for Public sector should be conducted via any private testing services (3rd Umpire). So no one will bicker on its failure.

No Interview

It’s a common perception in job market that if a person looking for a job get no response , find hurdles, receives NO INTERVIEW CALL, or if interview but get NO RESPONSE from employer .After all these dilemma everyone starts thinking about Personal Reference & about SIFARISH. I think being entrepreneur or Owner of firm no one will like to hire garbage even he will not like to allow his nephew who doesn’t have enough qualification & ability to push his business on the path of glory. Only incompetent people do – an incompetent HR manager will do this & incompetent applicant will think about it.
Before applying for any job you should review our abilities and qualities in yourself. You should know what you can do easily to make yourself profitable & can earn your bread & butter.  It is a universal fact that “Golden ticket to an interview is your resume”. It is your “Invitation Card” & if even one thing written in your resume makes screener off, it will be heaved into the reject pile.
Following are the typical reasons as agreed by the most Hiring Managers for refusing any application.
1.       Unprofessional layout – Clutter, fancy fonts, artwork and inconsistent alignment reflect poorly on your professional image.
2.       Unattractive photograph- If you don’t look like Tom Cruise or Maria Sharapova then you should try to avoid off your resume if pic is not mandatory demanded by employer.
3.       Descriptive resume-    Keep your resume to SINGLE page. If you have more than 10 year of experience than you can think about to exceed to TWO pages. Don’t write description about your previous work coz no one want to read your whole story before interview as interview means to evaluate yourself.
4.       Mismatched profile- Resumes are typically shortlisted by junior staff so don’t assume they will be able to decipher your wording. Your education and experience should match according to the vacancy.
Keep in mind that getting interview response is basically a numbers game. For every 50 organizations you apply to, you can get response from only One organization.

WISH YOU GOOD LUCK FOR YOUR CAREER

Unique Marriage - Bride took her baraat to the groom's house

INDORE: Rajni, a 25-year-old law student, dressed in best bridal finery, mounted a horse and took her baraat (marriage procession) to the groom's house through her village. After an hour-long marriage procession and dancing on the streets, she went to mandap (pandal) and asked the groom to marry her.

Unbelievable though it may sound, but that is exactly what happened at a marriage in Satwara village of Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.

The unique tradition — 'Kanya Ghatari' — which was practised by the Patidar community, wherein the bride takes her baraat to the groom's place, had long been forgotten, was brought alive. Senior members of the community endorsed Rajni's initiative to revive the age old tradition and lavished praise on her.

Rajni, who got married two days ago, initially felt a little awkward at the idea of riding a horse and taking the baraat to the groom's place. "I realized that the idea was to empower women and this practice would certainly eradicate many evils in the society," she said.

Bride goes on horse to groom's house, asks for his hand
Normally, boys consider it their birth right to take out the baraat. But for Praveen Patidar, 30, a state government employee, seeing his wife coming to marry him on a horse was a matter of pride.

Groom's father Ishwarlal Patel said that even on the wedding card that was printed a month ago, there was a message of women empowerment. He said his family wished that their daughter-in-law would take her baraat to their house.

About the tradition, he said first the bride was offered coconut by her parents. After completing the ritual, the girl mounted the horse and led the baraat from her house, which after passing from the narrow lanes of village, reached the groom's place.

The girl then came up to the mandap (pandal) on the horse and proposed the groom, asking him whether he would marry her. Waiting family members of the groom welcomed the bride. Thereafter, the marriage was solemnized.

Jobless & Hopeless

To paraphrase a line from Alice in wonderland, "If you don't know where you 're going, any road will get you there."

The first thing to decide before taking any further action is, what do you want? Is it just a job in which you earn enough money to get by? Or is it continuous growth and a long term career path? Perhaps it's independence and self control?

You might find yourself saying 'YES' to all these options. However, despite what people may tell you, you can't have it all! You need to know what is most important for you right now:
a) a steady salary
b) a career
c) Self employment?

If you 've saved enough money to run your household or if you currently don't have any financial responsibilities, then skip option 'a' and move onto option 'b' & 'c'. But if you are like most people in today's challenging economic climate, then securing a steady revenue stream is probably your first priority, so head down this direction first.

Now, money is money. If it comes from clerical work or from a managerial job.I suggest to first list down all the skills you have and link them to your potential jobs.Don't restrict your thinking. Can you teach or tutor? Set-up a stall in the weekly bazaars? Can you deliver fast food?

I read an article in Fortune magazine that highlighted top US executives who, after getting down-sized, delivered pizza to get by until job prospects improved.

I know some live examples where someone started his career as CSR in call center and now they are running there own Call center just after few years. My friend Haris started his career in Pizza Hut during under-graduation as CSR and now he is running Pizza Hut branch as Branch Manager after graduation.I know a person named Syed Munner who started his career as TELLER in a Bank while he has done Masters from University of Karachi but after 3 years he was selected as OPERATION MANAGER in the same branch of the bank where he was appointed as teller.

An interesting thing one executive said was that there is no shame in work, but there's plenty of shame in waiting for charity.
If above all can do it, then why can't you????

BEST OF LUCK for your career

The Ultimate Currency War

After the 2008 financial crisis, the liquidity trap induced policymakers to venture in unconventional endeavors. On the fiscal front, much has been discussed regarding the effectiveness of fiscal policy to pull developed countries out of the sluggish recovery. On the monetary side, the so-called quantitative easing (QE) guaranteed the liquidity needed to avoid a collapse of the financial system, even though its efficacy to stimulate the economy has been questioned. Within this environment, some concerns were raised in the Emerging Markets. The expansionist attempts would, some have been advocating, inflict in exchange rate appreciation, hurting EM’s companies’ exports competitiveness.

Domestic Issues

The first thing is to elaborate the goals of a QE-type of policy. Roughly, there are three pillars: a) it aims to provide the liquidity needed to break the vicious circle of falling asset prices, credit contraction and banking problems; b) it also aims to induce the private sector to take some risks, since safe assets yields became very low and more resources are available; and c) it has some effects on expectations, which are crucial for understanding business cycles.

Even though there is much interconnectedness between countries, especially through financial markets and capital flow, the goals of QEs are domestic, i.e., the policymakers seek to stimulate the economy to help the recovery process (or at least to avoid the worst). Of course there may be “collateral” effects, such as the depreciation of the exchange rate (appreciation of EM’s exchange rate). Personally, I do not think this effect is on the center of the targets. The US, for instance, is a relatively closed economy, therefore it depends substantially on the domestic aggregates.

Furthermore, for the exchange rate depreciation to increase net exports - the Marshall-Lerner condition - a combination of elasticities in a certain way is need, implying that there’s more to be considered. Moreover, the improvement in developed world’s conditions translates in greater demand for EMs products. Some estimates indicate that this offsets the exchange rate appreciation effect.

Data

Comparing the end of period amount of Long Term Treasury Purchases with the real effective exchange rate index (REER), it’s hard to find an evidence of a great impact on the REER from the liquidity injection:

The appreciation trend actually diminished after the QEs and some of the subsequent depreciation was induced by the change of the exchange rate regime. Moreover, taking the log of the series and calculating their first difference, one can actually find that after the QEs the average variation was higher (though more volatile), i.e., it has induced depreciation, rather than appreciation:

Remarks

The data seems to indicate that the effect of QE on the REER is low, if any. However, since the analysis is absent of any econometric treatment, one should be cautious. Perhaps a better look could reveal other conclusions. Nevertheless, I think that neither there’s a war, nor if there is, it something really important to justify the recent policy attempts.

Top 10 famous women on internet

When you are looking for powerful women in the world where is the first place we turn? Often times our attention turns to that of the internet, and here we have gathered information showing the top most researched (and therefore powerful) women from Google. Here you see we have taken 10 of those most popular and picked apart their fame, personal lives and more to see just what it is that makes these women so unique, desirable and overall, interesting

#10 Avril Lavigne
Avril Lavigne Number 10 From Top 50 list
#9 Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton Number 9 From Top 50 list
#8 Miley Cyrus
Miley Cyrus Number 8 From Top 50 list
#7 Justin Bieber
Justin Bieber Number 7 From Top 50 list
#6 Britney Spears
Britney Spears Number 6 From Top 50 list
#5 Eva Longoria
Eva Longoria Number 5 From Top 50 list
#4 Beyonce
Beyonce Number 4 From Top 50 list
#3 Madonna
Madonna Number 3 From Top 50 list
#2 Kesha
Kesha Number 2 From Top 50 list
#1 Lady GaGa
Lady GaGa Number 1 From Top 50 list

Of the names above you can see, that overall, they are musical sensations so we will start there with these amazing women. You have Avril Lavigne, Miley Cyrus, and Justin Bieber, wait what? Justin Bieber is on the WOMENS list? Yes we will elaborate later, and then there is Lady Gaga, Madonna and more. With that said there are only two names out of the ten we have mentioned here that are NOT in the music industry. So what is it about the music industry and women that allows them to be on the top 50 list?
Well we put this question to the test, and we believe that you see these women on the top 50 most searched list because today’s music is easily accessed through internet searches, Zune and other downloadable website. Therefore many times you will see teens and adults turn to search engines to search for their favorite artists and songs. Now, we mentioned that Justin Bieber had made this list (for women if we must reiterate that) and the bottom line is there has been (internet sourced) controversy as to his… masculinity adding him to the “top women search” list.
When you take the other remaining names you have the ever beautiful Eva Longoria, whom when we took a closer look has been “googled” by 80 % men and the remaining percentage women who are interested in her background and personal life story. As a beautiful woman there are times when men Google these lovely women’s names in hopes of finding nude or very risqué photos of the women.
Now when you compare these names to the other 40 names on the most searched Google names where do they compare as far as power or meaning of the searches? There are women of political posture, women who have been on the scene of tv and movies for generations and then you have those who have made it their life mission to get a message of good across the world. So how do these names all end up on the same list?
That is simply answered with one word: internet. When we have the tools at our fingertips to type in a name, and find photos, personal stories and hear about these ‘celebrities’ it allows us to feel one step closer to these individuals. When you are looking for someone as a role model, today there are more and more women out there to educate our daughters about. Whether it is those we listened to as a child, and now see with their families, or those who created the stories we read growing up, maybe its Michelle Obama, or Hilary Clinton; regardless of who we look up to its vital that we show our daughters and granddaughter the strong presence of women across the world.
When you stop and take a look at the full list of all 50 women that have been Google’d and searched you see a wide variety of different women from all different corners of the world. With this in mind, it can fluctuate as to who gets searched more one day to the next, and that can depend on the news, whats happening that day or overall, what someone is looking for.
The next time you stop and want to search for someone online stop and think about why it is you are looking for an article, news story or picture. And what would we do without these amazing lists that are put together. These celebrities are like the rest of us, the difference is they knew their dreams, pursued them and now, are living their dream.
