Why Are Our Celebrities Against Turkish Dramas?

When I sat down to write this article, I thought the topic should be why are our people against Turkish dramas? but then I thought that will not make an appropriate title since most of our people, the layman, is not just against Turkish dramas but there are so many people who have been opposing Indian programs too for such a long time but no one listens to them. So I am more interested in finding out why our actors, producers and directors are against Turkish dramas. Lately, I have read so many articles on blogs, newspapers and magazines against Turkish dramas and not to mention the debates that are going on, on the electronic media. It is our favorite topic nowadays and after reading so much against Turkish dramas I found some of the arguments very flawed so I would like to discuss here why I am not getting convinced by these arguments. Let me also add that if watching a Turkish play means you are ‘supporting foreign content’ then I DO NOT support foreign content because I don’t find it interesting and engaging enough full stop. Does that make me a very loyal Pakistani hmmm I am not sure! Okay here are some points that I would really like people to take time out for and read. I consider myself a very impartial observer so this may make sense to some people who are not driven by emotions but listen to reason. In any case don’t forget to share your views.
1. The People Who Support Turkish Dramas Are Not Patriotic OR Show Your Patriotism By Helping us Ban Turkish Content.
Are Turkish Dramas the only foreign element in our country? Look at the things you use around the house start from the computer you have, then the phone, which car do you use? Which drink did you have today? Pepsi? Is your Television set made locally? Is your shampoo local? What about the milk and cheese you eat? When you eat out do you have Chinese or McDonald’s or it has to be a desi restaurant every time? And if that is not the case than does that mean you are not patriotic? Absolutely not. You buy these products because as a consumer you have the right to choose. If our people can be considered unpatriotic because they “support” foreign things than not too many of us are patriotic are we? If it indeed is true than all local restaurants should rage a war against the multinational chains because they are a “threat” to them. All the soft drinks are being made locally, so Pepsi etc should be banned too and the list is never-ending.
I want to buy my fridge and watch my dramas without the fear that what I choose will gauge the level of loyalty I have towards my country. There are many other ways of showing love to your country like by being honest at work, saving electricity so on and so forth.
2. Turkish Dramas Are Against Our Culture OR Turkish Dramas Will Take Over Our Culture.
My first question is what is our culture? Because as far as I know Pakistani culture is very diverse and varies not just from province to province but from city to city.
As a society Pakistanis have always derived cultural values from their religion.
What is the general theme of our dramas?
Saas Bahu troubles
Sisterly Rivalry
Husband and wife having problems
Husbands having extra marital affairs
Girls getting raped and what happens to them ete etc
Where does culture come in? Let’s talk about dressing now. The Turkish actresses are very boldly dressed and our actresses are so graceful and dignified (only in dramas) otherwise if you watch the same actresses in fashion shows and other shows they are equally bold in their dressing. What does that show? Are we hypocrites? We have to be fools to think that actresses who cover their heads and bodies in dramas are like that in reality too and we know it only too well that they are not. We saw it very clearly in Lux Style Awards. So, where are we going as a society? Are these people the true representatives of our culture? Or are we being fooled? Or is it okay for these actresses to dress up boldly for shows (that are also shown on our televisions) but not in dramas?
Why don’t our celebrities protest against the mujra channels that are openly shown by every single cable channel and are easily accessible? Are they in line with our culture? Are they not ruining our culture? If our artists are not just worried about their own self and about the culture than they should oppose all things that are against our culture. To start with the cheap local theatre shows should be banned. And what about the Indian shows, why don’t our artists speak about that?
3. Turkish Dramas Are Not Good For Our Drama Industry.
Turkish dramas or any dramas that are watched by people provide good competition and it is the basic rule of economics that competition is always good because it gives people choices and it improves quality of products. Turkish dramas will give incentive to our producers and writers to come up with original concepts in order to attract the attention of people. No doubt we are making excellent dramas even now but you will all agree with me that most of the stories are taken from digests and people have stopped putting in the effort to get an original script being written for a drama. All dramas revolve around similar themes because too many dramas are being made and no one has time to come up with new ideas. Maybe these Turkish dramas will actually save our drama industry while it is still strong enough before it goes downhill.

Who will be benefiting monetarily from these dramas? We already know that our channels are getting these dramas at a cheaper rate and local artists are dubbing these plays so they benefit from it. Once the drama goes on air, it is our own channels which benefit from it.
4. If Such Serials Start Running Regularly There Will Be No Audience For Pakistani Content.
Hamayun Saeed gave this statement and I was appalled to hear it because it surprises me that these producers who expect the viewers to support them fail to give the viewers any credit and themselves too! All I want to say in response is that please have some faith in your own dramas and the people who watch them. All Pakistanis who have a television set at home also have access to cable and they have the choice to watch anything they want already but they still choose to watch Pakistani dramas because they are good enough. So enough of the exaggeration already! If you continue making good dramas, we will continue watching them.
I said it before and I am going to say again that I do not watch or “support” Turkish dramas but at the same time I feel that the artists who are giving emotional statements are just being unreasonable and insecure. They should continue making good dramas and stop the blame game. We should not feel threatened by competition but take it in our stride.

Advice for the Unemployed

Life for the unemployed is often bewildering and disorienting. None of us knew what to do when we were first made redundant or lost our jobs, or got ourselves fired. These things have happened to most of us, you are not alone and there is no shame in asking for advice on how to survive and get back on our feet.

So this thread is opened by popular request (from 3 vociferous friends on the similarly-titled thread for the Older Unemployed!) to offer advice to unemployed people of *any* age, on how and what you can do to help you to get a new job, or maybe just how to go about surviving during long unemployment.

So don't be shy or ashamed, but please ask, tell us your situation, tell us your problems, and we will try to help as best we can. You will get moral support and good advice, from people who have experienced it, that helps you to feel better, your load feels lighter, and your outlook feels brighter, and we will have achieved something for you to help you on your way to a job and secure future.

And you will always have a place to come back and offer your own experience and advice to others when the time comes.

Psy's "Gangnam Style" video becomes YouTube's most viewed

LOS ANGELES: South Korean rap star Psy's music video "Gangnam Style" on Saturday became the most watched item on YouTube with over 800 million views, edging past Canadian teen star Justin Bieber's two-year-old video for his song "Baby."
The milestone was the latest pop culture victory for Psy, 34, a portly rap singer known for his slicked-back hair and comic dance style who has become one of the most unlikely global stars of 2012.
Psy succeeded with a video that spawned countless parodies and became a media sensation, and in the process he gained more fame outside his native country than many of the more polished singers in South Korea's so-called K-Pop style who have sought to win over international audiences.
YouTube, in a post on its Trends blog, said "Gangnam Style" on Saturday surpassed the site's previous record holder, Bieber's 2010 music video "Baby," and by mid-day "Gangnam Style" had reached 805 million views compared to 803 million for "Baby."
"Gangnam Style" was first posted to YouTube in July, and by the following month it began to show huge popularity on YouTube with audiences outside of South Korea.
"It's been a massive hit at a global level unlike anything we've ever seen before," said the YouTube blog.
The blog also said the "velocity" of the video's popularity has been unprecedented for YouTube, and that users from all over the world search the site for the words "Psy" and "Gangnam Style".
Fans of Psy celebrated his victory, noting in the comments section of YouTube on Saturday that it took just four months for his video to rocket to over 800 million views, compared to two years for Bieber's "Baby."
In his "Gangnam Style" video, named after the affluent Gangnam District of Seoul, the outlandishly dressed Psy dances in the style of someone riding a horse and raps in Korean.
Earlier this month, Psy closed out the American Music Awards with a rousing performance of the song as he was joined on stage by MC Hammer, an American rapper whose hit single "U Can't Touch This" made him a pop culture sensation in 1990. (Reuters)

Pakistan should do something for Palestine

Islamabad (Routers) Pakistan should play its vital role as a Premier Islamic Nuclear power for the defense of innocent people in Palestine against world's no.1 terrorist nation Israel.
Israel is bombarding its expensive weapons on innocent Muslims of Palestine. If it can watch how their father America is fucking with Taliban in Afghanistan than they will realize how strong Muslims are in the world.

I think Pakistan should do again what it has done in Saudi Arabia when Israel was going to attack holy Land & 2 Pakistani jets pushed whole Israeli air force to rush back & runaway from the battle just in couples of hours.

We should remember that we are a Muslim state and whole Muslim world are brother like a whole body.If one part of body is in trouble how could it is possible that other part of body can't resist pain.We named our atomic bomb  as "ISLAMIC BOMB" so now it's time to fire our nuclear asset against worlds largest Evil power Israel.

If this is not a suitable time for using these nuclear bomb than Pakistan should fire all these nuclear stuff in upcoming new year night coz jews is believing in the fact that world will end after 2012 so what Pakistan will do with these weapons so it should fire on the air on NEW YEAR NIGHT 2013.Other wise in coming time children in Pakistan will buy these bombs and bombard it in SHAB E BUR'AT.

World's longest married couple is from Pakistan

  • Karam, 107, and Katari, 100, have been married for 87 years
  • They have 8 children and 28 grandchildren together
  • The marriage is almost 5 years longer than current Guinness record holders
  • Couple say that laughter and looking after each other is key to marriage
In an age where few marriages endure the test of time, 107-year-old Karam and his wife Katari Chand, 100, are proof that happy ever after does exist.
The couple, who have eight children and twenty eight grandchildren together, have lived in wedded bliss for 87 years making them the world's longest married couple.
The pair say that the key to success is looking after each other in every way possible: ‘My trick is to make Katari laugh. I like to tell jokes and make her smile. Being funny is my way of being romantic.' says Karam.
Karam and Katari Chand have been married for 87 years and are in the process of being confirmed as Guinness World Record holders for the world's longest marriage

‘I have been told laughing makes you live longer... my wife is still alive so it must have worked! I love her so much and I want to spend another 80 years by her side,’ said Karam.
From romantic meals to sharing jokes, the couple, who hail from Punjab, India and now live in Bradford ensure that they do little things for each other to keep the romance alive.

Katari told romantic networking site Zoosk.co.uk: ‘When I was young I used to make him a nice fresh meal every night. We are vegetarian so I brought lots of fresh vegetables and made sure he was eating healthy food.
‘Health is very important and I wanted to look after him so we could grow old together. Some would say it has worked!

‘Oh and how can I forget, I always save a bit of my chapatti for him. Just a little gesture that he appreciated a lot and it kept me a bit slimmer.’
Karam, who likes to do a word search every day to keep his mind alive, believes that spending plenty of time together has helped their marriage last.
‘We have not spent any long span apart in over 50 years. We go everywhere together – up until a few years ago we went to India every year with the family and for all family weddings we make sure we get to stay together,’ he said.

Their marriage has lasted nearly five years longer than that of the current Guinness World Record holders and the couple are in the process of getting confirmation from the company that they will be named as the new record holders.
Many modern day romances fail to stand the test of time but longevity and experience makes Karam the best man to go to for relationship advice.
‘In the past people used to listen. Now I don’t think people take the time to listen to each other properly. People seem too busy today with work, TV and other stuff going on around them.
‘Relationships are about understanding one another and listening to concerns and problems, so my advice to men and women is to listen to their partners, show interest in what they are saying and help them overcome any worries or problems they are going through,’ he said.
Karam and Katari Chand received a certificate of achievement from dating site Zoosk
The couple love to make each other laugh and will have a joint birthday celebration in November

And their son Satpaul, who is extremely proud of his parent’s relationship, added his own words of wisdom.
He said: ‘One piece of advice that I can’t stress enough is to keep your parents very close. We live with them in Bradford and look after them because we want to help them live as long as they can together.
‘I don’t want to see their love story end. I truly believe that by helping them over the last few years we have enabled them to enjoy their time together with no stress and being looked after.
'Also, you have to value them while they are here because you never know how long they are going to be around for.’
The still loved-up couple, who met through an arranged marriage, are having a big party in November to celebrate Karam’s 107th and Katari’s 100th birthday. The Mayor of Bradford as well as lots of community members will be joining in the festivities.

How to kill blasphemy of Muhammad (PBUH) ?

Now blasphemy about Muhammad (P.B.U.H) has gone its peak.Previously Salman Rushdi maloon the controversial writer of the book "Satanic Verses" got enough courage to blaspheming against the prophet of Islam. And on the other hand some Danish & Norway's newspapers published blasphemy cartoons about Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H). If we the Muslims just tolerating and 'll leave these blasphemous people than$ o6u}Pdeir courage will increase & they 'll do more blasphemous things about our Prophet (P.B.U.H). I am sharing true Islamic story of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf a poet from the Tayy tribe who criticized and mocked the Islamic Prophet Muhammad(P.B.U.H).According to several ahadith in Sahih al-Bukhari, he wrote poems satirizing Muhammad, eulogizing Quraish and enticing them against the Muslims. He then rode to Mecca where he started to trigger the fire of war and kindle rancour against the Muslims in Medina. When Abu Sufyan asked him which religion he was more inclined to, the religion of the Meccans or that of Muhammad and his companions, he replied that the pagans were better guided.
Ka'b was infuriated at the victory of the Muslims in the Battle of Badr, in March 624,[2] and at the executions of a number of Meccan notables of the Quraysh tribe who had been captured after that battle. The traditional biography of Muhammad reports Ka'b as saying "...if Muhammad has indeed struck down those people, then it were better to be buried in the earth than to walk upon it!
Upon returning to Medina, Ka'b started a fresh campaign of slanderous propaganda that took the form of obscene songs and amatory sonnets with a view to defaming the Muslim women.
Muhammad gathered his men and said: "Who will kill Ka‘b bin Al-Ashraf? He had maligned Allah, and His Messenger." Thereupon, Muhammad ibn Maslama, ‘Abbad bin Bishr, Al-Harith bin Aws, Abu ‘Abs bin Hibr and Salkan bin Salamah, Ka‘b’s foster brother, volunteered to do the job.
Muhammad ibn Maslamah said: "O Messenger of Allah, do you wish that I should kill him?" He said: "Yes." He said: "Permit me to talk (to him in the way I deem fit)." He said: "Talk (as you like)."
Means he can talk in the shape of some lie.
So, Muhammad ibn Maslamah came to Ka‘b and talked to him, saying: "This man (i.e. the prophet Muhammad) has made up his mind to collect charity (from us) and this has put us to a great hardship." When he heard this, Ka‘b said: "By Allah you will be put to more trouble by him." Muhammad ibn Maslamah answered: "No doubt, now we have become his followers and we do not like to forsake him until we see what turn his affairs will take. I want that you should give me a loan." He said: "What will you mortgage?" Muhammad answered: "What do you want?" Ka'b demanded women and children as articles of security against the debt. Muhammad ibn Maslamah said: "Should we pledge our women whereas you are the most handsome of the Arabs; and the son of one of us may be abused by saying that he was pledged for two wasq (measurement unit of weight) of dates but we can pledge you (our) weapons." Ka‘b agreed. Salkan bin Salamah, Abu Na’ilah, at another time, went to see Ka‘b for the same purpose and there were more or less the same subjects, only that Abu Na’ilah would bring him some companions
On Rabi‘ Al-Awwal 14th, at night, the year 3 A.H. the people said good bye to Muhammad and set out to implement the carefully drawn plan. The men went and called upon him at night. He came down, although his wife warned him not to meet them alleging that: "I hear a voice which sounds like the voice of murder." He said: "It is only Muhammad bin Maslamah and my foster brother Abu Na’ilah. When a gentleman is called at night even if he be pierced with a spear, he should respond to the call." Abu Na’ilah said to his companions: "As he comes down, I will extend my hand towards his head to smell and when I hold him fast, you should do your job." So when he came down, they talked together for about an hour. They then invited him to go out and spend a nice time in the moonlight. On the way out, Abu Na’ilah remarked: "I smell the nicest perfume from you." Ka‘b said: "Yes, I have with me a mistress who is the most scented of the women of Arabia." Abu Na’ilah again said: "Allow me to smell (the scent on your head)". He said: "Yes, you may smell." So he caught it and smelt. Then he said: "Allow me to do so(once again)." He then held his head fast and said to his companions: "Do your job." And they killed him. The group of men came back after fulfilling their mission. One of them Al-Harith bin Aws was wounded by mistake with the swords of his men, and was bleeding badly. When they reached Baqee‘ Al-Gharqad, they shouted, "Allâh is Great".
Muhammad heard them and realized that they had killed the enemy of the Muslims. As they saw him, he said: "Cheerful faces are yours." In reply, they said: "And yours O Messenger of Allah." They handed the head of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf to him. According to tradition, he then applied his saliva to Al-Harith’s wound and it healed on the spot.

A number of reasons are given for the assassination. One reason is that al-Ashraf had tried to provoke the Quraysh against Muhammad, and later composed verses insulting Muslim women. Another reason is his attempt to assassinate Muhammad.[1] According to Norman Stillman, Muhammad was acting in accordance with the norms of the Arab society of that period which demanded retaliation for a slight to a group's honor.

When the Jews learned about the death of Ka'b ibn al-Ashraf, "...there was not a Jew who did not fear for his life", as a Muslim biographer of Muhammad put it

So today when we know that Maloon Rushdi & all these blasphemy peoples are living in Red Alert strong security, any one can kill them by giving some dodge or allurement  to these blasphemy peoples like the above Anecdote. If no one can reach near to these blasphemy people than definitely they will die due to fear from Muslims & no one will have courage to speak blasphemous against Islam & especially our Prophet (P.B.U.H).

I 'll urge every Muslim living in USA that he will definitely try his best one time to kill whole cast & maker of the film 786 if he 'll succeed than it will be a great lesson for blasphemous people & if he will fail & got arrest than every attack by individual Muslim of America will create fear of death in the heart of the maker & cast of the film. And I think its time to give some lesson to the world that Muslims are not Jokers ....Enough is Enough!!!
