Jobless plus Hopeless
An interesting thing one executive said was that there is no shame in work, but there's plenty of shame in waiting for charity.
The Ultimate Currency War

Not giving Gold Medals in KU Annual convocation 2011 -A very good Decision
Its a very good decision by KU Administration to not giving gold medals to the position holders because everyone knows how they got positions in their respective discipline. Karachi University administration said that due to unavailability of sponsors we are unable to give gold medals to position holders. The main cause behind no interest of sponsors in giving sponsorship for gold medal might be they knows about checking system in KU.They have seen that what KU's gold medalist do in market after passing out.

National Testing Services NTS failure in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014
NTS charges normally Rs.800 from the candidates as test fees. Most of the graduate & Master students always claimed NTS to be as dough Fish. This time mostly students are claiming that they have marked right choices which they are confident enough as NTS this year updated its policy & issued a carbon copy of marked answer sheet right after the test. However candidates can check & compare answers with the answer key on nts website, next day of the TEST.
NTS is totally winding up people through showing fairness via cutting seal of Exam books through any candidates, issuing multiple color books and shuffle it in the testing room and through carbon copy of answer sheets.Candidates are slagging off NTS this time by saying that they have remembered some answers which they marked 100% correct are showing wrong on Answer key at website. The carbon copy or Answer sheet has only marked options like A.B.C.D.E nothing else. You can't say anything about Question no 36 as its right option might be A or might be E.So in the same manner one of the candidate among who appeared in Commonwealth Scholarship 2014 is whining that he has remembered that he has marked Q.2 as D but he got shocked when he saw right answer was A on NTS website's answer key.
Credibility of NTS has always seemed to be as issue.News groups and peoples are always nagging NTS performance on the basis of merit.Recent teachers selection for Public colleges and universities is example of what NTS is doing under Public sector umbrella.
Now everyone is demanding NTS should be privatize or test like common wealth & recruitment test for Public sector should be conducted via any private testing services (3rd Umpire). So no one will bicker on its failure.

Unique Marriage - Bride took her baraat to the groom's house
Unbelievable though it may sound, but that is exactly what happened at a marriage in Satwara village of Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh.
The unique tradition — 'Kanya Ghatari' — which was practised by the Patidar community, wherein the bride takes her baraat to the groom's place, had long been forgotten, was brought alive. Senior members of the community endorsed Rajni's initiative to revive the age old tradition and lavished praise on her.
Rajni, who got married two days ago, initially felt a little awkward at the idea of riding a horse and taking the baraat to the groom's place. "I realized that the idea was to empower women and this practice would certainly eradicate many evils in the society," she said.
Normally,
boys consider it their birth right to take out the baraat. But for
Praveen Patidar, 30, a state government employee, seeing his wife coming
to marry him on a horse was a matter of pride.
|
Groom's father Ishwarlal Patel said that even on the wedding card that was printed a month ago, there was a message of women empowerment. He said his family wished that their daughter-in-law would take her baraat to their house.
About the tradition, he said first the bride was offered coconut by her parents. After completing the ritual, the girl mounted the horse and led the baraat from her house, which after passing from the narrow lanes of village, reached the groom's place.
The girl then came up to the mandap (pandal) on the horse and proposed the groom, asking him whether he would marry her. Waiting family members of the groom welcomed the bride. Thereafter, the marriage was solemnized.

Jobless & Hopeless
To paraphrase a line from Alice in wonderland, "If you don't know where you 're going, any road will get you there."
The first thing to decide before taking any further action is, what do you want? Is it just a job in which you earn enough money to get by? Or is it continuous growth and a long term career path? Perhaps it's independence and self control?
You might find yourself saying 'YES' to all these options. However, despite what people may tell you, you can't have it all! You need to know what is most important for you right now:
a) a steady salary
b) a career
c) Self employment?
If you 've saved enough money to run your household or if you currently don't have any financial responsibilities, then skip option 'a' and move onto option 'b' & 'c'. But if you are like most people in today's challenging economic climate, then securing a steady revenue stream is probably your first priority, so head down this direction first.
Now, money is money. If it comes from clerical work or from a managerial job.I suggest to first list down all the skills you have and link them to your potential jobs.Don't restrict your thinking. Can you teach or tutor? Set-up a stall in the weekly bazaars? Can you deliver fast food?
I read an article in Fortune magazine that highlighted top US executives who, after getting down-sized, delivered pizza to get by until job prospects improved.
I know some live examples where someone started his career as CSR in call center and now they are running there own Call center just after few years. My friend Haris started his career in Pizza Hut during under-graduation as CSR and now he is running Pizza Hut branch as Branch Manager after graduation.I know a person named Syed Munner who started his career as TELLER in a Bank while he has done Masters from University of Karachi but after 3 years he was selected as OPERATION MANAGER in the same branch of the bank where he was appointed as teller.
An interesting thing one executive said was that there is no shame in work, but there's plenty of shame in waiting for charity. If above all can do it, then why can't you????
BEST OF LUCK for your career

The Ultimate Currency War
After the 2008 financial crisis, the liquidity trap induced policymakers to venture in unconventional endeavors. On the fiscal front, much has been discussed regarding the effectiveness of fiscal policy to pull developed countries out of the sluggish recovery. On the monetary side, the so-called quantitative easing (QE) guaranteed the liquidity needed to avoid a collapse of the financial system, even though its efficacy to stimulate the economy has been questioned. Within this environment, some concerns were raised in the Emerging Markets. The expansionist attempts would, some have been advocating, inflict in exchange rate appreciation, hurting EM’s companies’ exports competitiveness.

7 Countries with Most Solar Power Usage
Germany: The World Leader in Solar Energy
Germany is considered the world leader in solar energy, as the country currently uses vastly more solar power than any other country. In fact, in 2009, Germany installed 3,806 megawatts of solar energy capacity—nearly eight times the amount installed by the U.S. in the same year. In 2010, Germany remained the leader of the pack, installing even more solar energy capacity—17,193 megawatts, or 43 percent of the world’s total installation for the year.Germany maintains a strong commitment to using renewable energy sources. The country has a hefty goal of converting entirely to renewable energy sources by the year 2050.
Spain: Once the World Leader, Now Second in Line
Spain is also demonstrating its commitment to alternative energy sources, although it doesn’t come close to the same amount of solar energy capacity installed by Germany in recent years. In 2008, however, Spain led the pack by installing 2,605 megawatts but this figure dropped dramatically to just 69 megawatts in 2009.There are a couple of reasons for Spain’s significant decrease in solar energy capacity installation. First, the economic crisis led to a decrease in energy demand. Spain also experienced some delays thanks to a complex government subsidy program. In 2010, Spain maintained approximately 10 percent of global installed capacity share. About 10 percent of the country’s energy comes from solar power, two percent higher than the average for most countries.
Italy: Closing in on Spain
While Spain once lost its first place spot in solar energy installation, Italy is now closing in on Spain for second place in the solar energy race. Currently, nine percent of Italy’s energy comes from solar power, recently surpassing Japan to take over third place. At the end of 2010, Italy had 2.3 gigawatts of solar energy connected to the power grid.Japan: Still Holding Strong
Estimates show that Japan has a strong future in solar energy, thanks to a high level of consumer interest in renewable energy—particularly, solar power. In 2010, Japan installed 990 megawatts of solar energy capacity. But in March 2011, the Fukushima disaster halted the country’s progress. The Fukushima disaster was a chain of events that began with an earthquake and caused a nearly 50-foot tsunami. The tsunami disabled the power supply and cooled three Fukushima Daiichi reactors, practically melting all three cores within three days. Naturally, this devastating event threw a wrench into the country’s energy plans.
United States: High Energy Costs Drive Consumer Interest
While the U.S. hasn’t been a leader in solar energy consumption or capacity installation in recent years, that could soon change. That’s because the country’s economic crisis is driving consumer interest in renewable energy sources, which are both environmentally friendly and cost-effective over the long-term outlook. The U.S. has a couple of things going for it in terms of solar energy. First, the cap on the federal solar tax credit was lifted in 2009, opening the door for potential savings from Uncle Sam. And the market for residential solar panels is still showing strong growth, in spite of the country’s fragile economic state and recent recession. In fact, the market for residential solar panels increased 37 percent between 2008 and 2009, and doubled in the year 2009 alone.
Currently, solar energy comprises only one percent of the country’s total energy consumption. California maintains about 60 percent of the U.S.’s total solar energy installations, but states such as New Jersey are rapidly catching up thanks to state-level incentives driving interest.
Czech Republic: Out of Nowhere Interest in Solar Power
Solar energy is rapidly growing in popularity in the Czech Republic. Despite the economic struggles facing many countries throughout the world, the Czech Republic actually has one of the strongest economies in today’s market. The pace of the country’s solar power installation has been holding steady and increasing since 2007.Interestingly, one of the challenges faced by the Czech Republic with solar energy is that there’s not as much sun as in countries such as Spain and Italy. However, the cost of buying land in the Czech Republic is cheaper, which offsets the lack of ample sunshine.
When you look at the statistics another way, the Czech Republic’s use of solar energy becomes even more intriguing. The country installed more solar energy capacity per capita in 2009 than any other country—with the exception of the top solar-power player, Germany.
Belgium: Unexpected Incentives Prompt Solar Energy Growth
Belgium’s growth in the solar energy department came as a bit of a surprise around 2009. The country’s growth in solar energy installation was due in part to a national tax rebate program for residential solar power installations. This resulted in the installation of about 800 megawatts in solar energy capacity in 2010.Estimates say Belgium’s solar energy use should maintain a slow but steady growth. Belgium is expected to install approximately 200 to 300 megawatts of solar energy capacity per year. Among European countries, Belgium is the only one that successfully utilizes Green Certificates, a tool which encourages the use of environmentally friendly energy alternatives. Belgium also participated in the European Solar Solidarity initiative, which raised awareness for solar energy with innovative, dancing solar flower exhibits.
With solar energy capacity increasing all over the world, consumers can expect to see a broader range of options among solar panels for home use. Solar panels and other mechanisms for capturing the sun’s energy are becoming more efficient and more readily available to consumers as an affordable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional power sources, such as electricity.
